Practice speaking your answer aloud and record it to review later.

Stimulus discussion practice (mirrors Part A & B)

In the real exam you bring your own stimulus item (a picture, article, object or poster) related to a Unit 3/4 topic. Choose a topic below, find or picture your own stimulus, then practise the timed preparation and discussion exactly as in the exam.

    Topic

Find or picture a stimulus item (photo, headline, object, poster...) connected to this topic before you start the timer, just as you would in the real exam.
    Part A — Preparation (10:00)
    10:00
    Part B — Discussion (≈4:00)
    4:00

Talk through your stimulus out loud for the full time. Cover the guiding questions below as the examiner would ask them.

Record yourself discussing the stimulus, then play it back to check fluency and accuracy.

      Mock oral exam (≈22 minutes)

Runs through the exam structure end to end: 10 minutes' preparation, ~4 minutes discussing your stimulus, then ~8 minutes of rapid‑fire conversation questions sampled from Unit 3 & Unit 4, timed the way the examiner paces it.

      Part A · Prepare (10:00)
      Part B · Discuss stimulus (4:00)
      Part C · Conversation (8:00)

Have a stimulus item ready before you begin (see Stimulus Practice tab for ideas).
